In this episode of the podcast I interview Dan Astin Gregory of ‘Free Humanity’ to find out his understanding of freedom and his ideas about how we can achieve it. Dan co-organised The People’s Reset conference last September in Bath, UK, and is a passionate campaigner for freedom.
Dan sees freedom as not only the political condition in which people are able to act on their own judgement, but also encompassing the idea of being free from one’s own limiting beliefs. He seems to champion the personal freedom of a path of personal development.
His views expressed in this interview are not the same as mine. One key example is that Dan insists that personal sovereignty is not selfish. I very strongly disagree, and summarise my thoughts in this recent post, Personal Sovereignty – Step One to Political Freedom
I hold that there are particular fundamental ideas that must be challenged if we are to have any chance of achieving political freedom. I discuss just three of these in Episode 143 – Three reasons why freedom has no chance.
