An important coordinate in a fully accurate world view is the knowledge that ‘pop’ culture has been (and continues to be) a creation of the ruling class for the purpose of social change. The evidence suggests that it was created as a tool for reshaping society into a form more conducive to a collectivist (Marxist) system of global governance, and that the Tavistock Institute was involved from the start.
The earliest roots were in the ‘Beat movement’ that began in the 1940s but emerged in the 1950s. This was a literary and social movement that rejected aspects of conventional society and explored spirituality (New Age mysticism). Key figures included writers such as Jack Kerouac, Allen Ginsberg, and William S. Burroughs, who’s work aimed to transform literature and culture.
The same decade saw the emergence of Rock ‘n’ Roll, and the birth of music driven counter culture. At the time there was a significant backlash to the sexually explicit hip movements of Elvis Presley, and the racial mix of new black Performers such as Chuck Berry and Little Richard. The effect was that the authority of the family was being undermined, while youth rebellion to the established social order became the new fashion.
Music was a key component in the early days, along with the film industry in Hollywood. There were also many gurus emerging and the mystical ideas of the New age were gaining traction.
Popular culture has been influenced all through its ‘evolution’. It includes the multi-faceted sports ‘industry’ as well as the porn industry and most recently social media. Pop culture in general continues to be used as a tool to effect social change. Not only can ideas be sown through lyrics, stories in film, lifestyles and fashion, but also the whole mania about bands, pop culture, and sports, serves as a perfect distraction from considering important political issues.
Traditional values of the early part of the 20th century were turned upside down and a new era of decadence and hedonism were encouraged. The relative reservedness and prudishness of earlier times gave way to free love, drug use, drop outs, and rebels without a cause. But this development was not natural, or organic. It didn’t just happen by itself. It was the beginning of a very well thought out strategy deployed over the long term. The family unit has to be destroyed before a collectivist system can replace it. And many of the values of individualism still held sway in the USA. Lets remind ourselves that the United States of America is unique in that it is the only country ever to be created in which the state was subservient to the people. As the freest country on Earth, it stood as a major obstacle to the ruling elite who wish to impose a collectivist system of governance world wide. This is the root cause of the pop culture invasion from the UK with the Beatles as key players, and the people from the Tavistock Institute behind the whole well thought out plan.
To acknowledge that pop culture has been a tool of the ruling class is NOT to say that there is no independent music. And it is NOT to say that there are not talented people who advance on their own merit. It is to recognise that having an audience is power, and that any hugely successful act necessarily gains influence over their audience. The power to influence the behaviour of a large group of people is an example of political power. It would be extremely dangerous to the interests of the ruling class if the ability to influence vast numbers of people using celebrity status were left to chance. They would want to prevent undesirable messages from getting the oxygen of publicity, and at the same time they would wish to ensure that their desired messages do get delivered, and directly to the young people they wish to target. Note that Paul McCartney, Mick Jagger, and Elton John—three characters who have enjoyed enormous success within pop culture—all dutifully sang from the hymn sheet during COVID, and obediently told us all to get our vaccinations while criticising anti-vaccine misinformation on the internet.
Many of us are familiar with how controlled the so-called education system is. Campaigners and Authors such as Charlotte Thompson Iserbyt who wrote “The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America” and John Taylor Gatto who wrote “Dumbing us Down”, have done a lot to inform us. But control of education is just one component of the social engineering that has been taking place over at least the past 70 years. Critical thinking has been undermined by a shift in values, the promotion of a more hedonistic morality, and endless pointless distractions that engage and occupy youth and counter culture.

When we understand that ‘pop’ culture is just one component of a broader strategy of social engineering, it’s easier to join the seemingly disparate dots and make sense of the bigger picture. It becomes easier to see the problems in our culture as interconnected and with a common cause; its easier to understand the widespread disinterest in issues that matter, in a context of endless entertainment that distracts us and keeps us focused on the unimportant.
The three most significant aspects of modern pop culture are these: Short form media such as Tik Tok, Snapchat, and Instagram, that keep young people endlessly scrolling on their Smart Phones, reducing their ability to pay attention to one specific thing/issue/topic for more than a minute or two. Another is Gaming culture which is robbing countless young men of their time and keeping them distracted. And perhaps the most significant component of popular culture is the mobile SMART phone. It is the ultimate hook to keep you plugged into the Matrix. It has become an indispensable tool of modern life. Most people cannot imagine living without their phone. Bingo! This is the means to being inescapably cemented into the social framework of the New World Order.
There is more to say about the use of the SMART phone, and its implications for personal freedom, but for those seriously interested in freedom I suggest that we should hesitate before using it as a means of payment, and we should be conscious of the fact if there is a phone in the room you have no privacy.
Once we know that the cultural environment we grew up in was largely a creation of those who wish to control and exploit us, we gain a very useful mental coordinate in our world view. I believe it helps us to resist the relentless march into slavery, and help our children to to do the same.
