Britain's Broken Energy System - The consequence of acting on a false idea -

Britain’s national energy system is in serious trouble. Energy costs are spiraling upwards, squeezing house-holds and causing whole industries to relocate to other countries. We have some of the highest energy prices in the western world. The reason for this is the enormous costs of shifting the nations energy system onto ‘renewables’. This political decision is based on the false idea that there is a climate emergency due to human production of CO2. What makes this policy even more insane is that China isn’t chasing net-zero, and has no intention to. In fact they are accelerating the construction and deployment of coal fired power stations!

There are huge costs in the form of subsidies offered to build wind and solar farms, plus the costs of all the infrastructure needed to connect all of the decentralised components to the national grid. Then there is the cost of the battery systems to store the part-time energy. But this is only part of the story. Because wind and solar cannot provide energy 24/7 an enormous amount of money must be spent on back up systems which must rely on gas and nuclear power stations. The shift towards net-zero is driven by the assumption that we must cut our emissions of Carbon Dioxide justified by the myth of a climate emergency driven by human-caused emissions of CO2. But this is not true. There is no climate emergency. The massive cost of this unnecessary change (estimated to rise from £8.1 Billion to £26.2 Billion by 2031) are passed on to the consumer in the form of domestic and industrial electricity costs.

The truth is, that here in the UK there are plenty of coal reserves that could be cleanly burned without causing pollution, and emitting only CO2 and water vapour. Furthermore, the consequences of the additional CO2 in the atmosphere would be entirely beneficial to plant life, since CO2 is plant food. There would be no catastrophic effect on the climate, and energy costs could remain reasonable.

Another important part of the false narrative is that so-called “fossil fuels” are not running out. But first lets note that these energy sources pumped out of the ground should properly be referred to as abiotic or abiogenic hydrocarbons. The term “fossil fuels” is a misleading marketing term that implies a limited resource. The reality is that abiotic hydrocarbons are produced inside the earth under conditions of extremely high temperature and pressure and in the absence of oxygen. You can learn about this if you read Unveiling the Abiogenic Oil Theory. The truth is that hydrocarbons such as oil and gas, are the ultimate renewable fuels provided they are burned cleanly. And the technology exists to do this. The reason this is all concealed is political. It’s because the truth gets in the way of the political agenda towards a globalised system of technocratic collectivist governance.

A recent program broadcast by the BBC on Monday 14th September 2026, called “Can Britain’s Broken Energy System Be Fixed?” offers a clear description of the problem and the ever increasing forecast costs. You can listen to it here. But it wont give you the truth, or the whole picture. The Climate Change Act of 2008 set into law the binding targets designed to constrain the politicians in any future government to the insane idea of converting Britain to net-zero. The tragedy is that whatever measures are put into place here in the UK, they will not be put into effect in places like China, So the net effect of net-zero on the climate is, in fact, ZERO. while the effect on the economy of the UK is devastating. The emissions are simply happening elsewhere! We suffer unaffordably high electricity prices, and there is absolutely no effect on global CO2 emission, even if we did all agree that they should be reduced. It looks like madness, but its all by design.

For many years now we have been told that the planet is on fire and that we must emit no more CO2, but now the contradiction can been in the rush to build data centers that are extremely energy hungry. You can bet that the data centers will be built anyway, because they are required for the technocratic agenda. But ordinary people like you and I will be penalised with exorbitant energy costs. The destabilisation of the middle east is also playing a part in raising fuel costs at the petrol pumps and causing more widespread economic disruption.

The bottom line is that the increase in energy prices is a deliberate creation of those pushing the background political agenda. The difficulties with the Straights of Hormuz and in the Red Sea, are all part of the plan, along with the insane idea of net-zero by 2040. The only way to bring an end to this is by spreading the knowledge, so that enough people know what is gong on, and refuse to go along with it. Sadly we are a long way off that at present.
